Limited

LIBRARY
RESOURCES
The
Baldwin Library has a collection of over 100,000 books. The Online
Catalog offers you keyword, author, title and subject access to
our collection as well as to the collections of other Nassau Library
System members. Instruction in using the catalog is available from
the Library staff at the Reference Desk.
The
Library gives you access to many periodicals. You can find out which
ones we subscribe to by consulting the Baldwin Public Library Periodicals
Guide at the Reference Desk. The Library subscribes to several computerized
periodical indexes such as EBSCOhost, ProQuest and InfoTrac.
Other
library resources include the Vertical File (a collection of government
publications, informational pamphlets and brochures from private
organizations, and newspaper and magazine clippings covering a variety
of topics), dvds, videotapes (including family, how-to, classics
and recent releases), and compact discs.
There
are personal computers available for Nassau County library cardholders
and residents of New York State. Users must sign-in in the Computer
Room.
