Now through June 2013, Nassau County residents can access Home Improvement Reference Center™, which provides detailed and user-friendly “how-to” information to assist with clean up, rebuilding and renovations.
Home Improvement Reference Center includes magazine articles and reference content as well as videos and images designed to help homeowners tackle home repairs safely. It provides step-by-step information along with background information and tips on topics including electrical, plumbing, woodworking, outdoor projects, maintenance and decorating.
EBSCO Publishing donated access to Home Improvement Reference Center to libraries in Nassau County, Suffolk County, Queens and Brooklyn to reach out to people in areas affected by Superstorm Sandy.
The database is available to use in the Library. You can also use it remotely–you will need your library card number to access it.
