SUMMER READING CLUB
for Children Entering Grade 1 to Grade 6 in the Fall
To join the
Summer Reading Club, a child must be entering Grade 1 to Grade 6 in September
2011. Registration is required and begins in person at the Children's
Desk starting June 1 and online starting June 15.
NOTE:
Members may also register in person at the Children's Desk for the Story-Craft
programs offered during the daytime and in the evening. Registration for
Session I begins June 1, and registration for Session II begins June 23.

CLUB
REQUIREMENTS:
- Read
as many books as you wish by Tuesday, August 9 to be invited to the
Special Program for Completers on Tuesday, August 16. You must read
at least two books to be invited to the Special Program. These books
may be on any topic as long as they are on your reading level.
- Starting
the week of June 27, come to the Baldwin Public Library and tell us
what books you have read during the summer. Submit one of the following
projects for your first six books:
Card
Game
(At the Library, answer questions about the book.)
OR
Complete an Online
Mini Review
OR
Diorama/Mobile
OR
Drawing/Painting
OR
Keep your own Summer Reading Club Journal of the books you read this summer.
After the 6th book, just bring in a list of the titles that you have read!
- You
can report at your scheduled Story-Craft or at the Children's Reference
Desk. Unfortunately, we cannot take any reports 20 minutes before or
after a scheduled Story-Craft. You can also report
online here.
- You
will receive a prize after you read 1 book, 3 books, 6 books,
12 books and 20 books.
- Read
6 or more titles and you will receive a gold seal on your certificate.
- Registration
for the Special Program is required and begins July 26.
A ticket will be given at registration for this show.
