GUIDELINES
- Participants
must be entering Grades 6 - 12 as of September 2008.
- Registration
is required and begins on Wednesday, June 4 at the Summer Reading
Club Welcome Party. Teens may enroll in the Summer Reading Club
any time during the months of June and July.
- Complete
an online "mini-review" form for each book you read.
This year, once again, we will aim to read six books. Submit mini-reviews
on-line from June 4 through August 6. Computers will be available
in the Teen Zone for your convenience. Paper mini-review forms
will also be available in the Teen Zone.
- Prizes
will be given out, in the Teen Zone, after teens read their first,
third, and sixth books.
- Teens
who read @ least two books will be invited to our End of
the Summer Pizza Party on Wednesday, August 13, and will receive
a Reading Certificate and be awarded a free Blockbuster family
video rental.

PARTY
Participants who read and submit two or more mini-reviews will receive
an invitation to our Summer Reading Club Party on Wednesday, August
13 from 6:00 - 8:15PM. Celebrate and enjoy the magic of Amore, pizza,
soft drinks and prizes! Respond by Monday, August 11.
PRIZES
Prizes will be given out after teens read their first, third, and
sixth books. Prizes will also be awarded after the summer to the
three readers who read the most books. All
teens who read six books will be presented with a "Certificate
of Participation". Present your certificate at Blockbuster
Video on Merrick Road in Baldwin and receive a free "family"
video rental.
SUMMER
READING LISTS
Students
entering Grades 6-12 will find book titles and a list of their required
reading assignments in the Teen Zone. The reading lists are also
available on-line. Go to the Teen Zone homepage
and click on "Summer Reading Lists."

and positive emotions. All you need is some comfy clothing,
a yoga mat and a notebook or journal.
